Rick Lawson was born in Kentucky and moved to California at the age of sixteen. He met Cheri, his soulmate and wife, of 42 years in California. Rick and family moved to Tennessee in 1985 for a better place to raise their three children. Tammi, their oldest daughter, is an International Flight Attendant with American Airlines and lives in Florida. Their son, Richard, is a Blackhawk Helicopter Pilot in the U.S. Army, currently stationed in Korea. Nikomi, the youngest daughter, is an Executive Secretary at the University of Michigan. Rick and Cheri have one grandson, Asher Mckay Lawson, and two grandchildren on the way. Nikomi and husband, Chris, are expecting a girl in June and Richard and Wendy will be giving Asher a new brother or sister in July.

Rick has been printing for thirty-nine years and has been with Wax Family Printing for the last seven years. In California the company he worked for did Educational Research and he won several awards for his printing.

He attended college in Fullerton, California as a Business Major. He and Cheri worked for about twenty years as high school Youth Directors in church. Rick enjoys working around his home and Cheri keeps a continual "Honey Do" list ready for him to work on projects at all times.
